This review is a really bad one. It doesn’t tackle game design at all. I mean it gets its point across that their are limitations to how far the developers will go. Except we don’t know what the developers are thinking. So we can’t assume what we think they want. Icefrog has proved with the implementation of the latest patch that we have no idea whats on his mind and should not assume we know.
A huge part of game design that is missing from suggestions is testing out. But with the advent of custom games. This might become reality. With the ability to see how things pan out through game testing a more accurate assessment can be made about whats best for the game.
Another problem with suggestions is people agreeing on whats acceptable for including in the game. I mean this will happen regardless, probably, it happens in valve.
